Sofitel Hotel, Queenstown, New Zealand
A 5 star 82 suite Hotel Property with 2 floors of retail together with extensive Civil Engineering and excavation works. The project included the fitting of bars, restaurants, kitchens, a gym and an extensive landscape project completed in conjunction with the local Council. The project was constructed in 15 months and the Hotel opened in September 2005. The project has received awards from the Property Council and the Master Builders Federation.
Courthouse, Queenstown, New Zealand
The construction of a new District Court Building including 2 Courts, administration areas and secure cells. A very high level of services and security were incorporated into this building. The project was carried out for Ngai Tahu Properties who developed the building and the Ministry of Justice who commissioned and completed the fitting out of this specialised building. This building was constructed to replace the existing 1875 historic Courthouse.
Post Office Precinct Building 3, Queenstown, New Zealand
As part of a wider brief the Post Office Precinct development being carried out by Ngai Tahu Properties Limited included Building 3. This building comprises of a three storey plus basement fully schist clad precast structure housing a pub and professional offices. The project was completed in 9 months.
Old Courthouse Restoration, Queenstown, New Zealand
Ngai Tahu Properties Post Office Precinct development includes the seismic upgrade, restoration and conversion of the 1874 Courthouse Building. The Building carries a heritage grade 1 classification and extensive consultation with The Historic Places Trust and Heritage Architects has taken place prior to construction commencing.
Bowen View Apartments, Queenstown,New Zealand
The construction of 3 houses and 25 two and three bedroom apartments on Queenstown Hill for Station Properties Limited. A complicated project that required retaining structures and ground anchors being completed prior any excavation commencing. A complicated precast and insitu concrete structure over 9 levels with a very high standard of finish required. Completion of these apartments was acheived in June 2008.
Highview Apartments, Queenstown, New Zealand
The construction of 27 two bedroom luxury apartments together with a gymnasium/Spa and associated car parking. The site was extensively sheet piled prior to a substantial excavation taking place to allow the three level design to fit onto the site. This contract was successfully completed in May 2007
Post Office Precinct, Building 4, Queenstown, New Zealand
A 3 story commercial office building constructed as part of the overall Post Office precinct development for Ngai Tahu Properties Limited. Extensive realignment of the existing Creek was required prior to this building be able to commence. Construction was completed in November 2007.
Remarkables Park Shopping Centre, Frankton, New Zealand
Insignis were appointed to manage the construction of the 4500m2 retail and commercial office Building at Remarkables Park for NDZ property Group Limited. The building contains 2300m2 of retail floor space on the ground level together with 2200m2 of A grade commercial office and an underground car park for 30 cars. The project included extensive landscaping, roadwork and infrastructure around the property. Insignis acted as Project Manager and Engineer to the Contract on this project. The Project was successfully completed in October 2008.
Millbrook Villas, Arrowtown, New Zealand
Insignis have been appointed to carry out the Construction Management of the refurbishment of 20 apartments in the Millbrook Resort complex together with an upgrade to some of the hospitality outlets at the resort. Insignis organised the trade packages and supervised the works which are being completed in stages to suit occupancy levels.
Skyline Restuarant and Bar Refurbishment
Skyline Restaurant was refurbished in the ‘quiet’ 7 week period form early May until late June. The timing of the refurbishment was sandwiched between key events being held at the facility. The restaurant area involved the complete renovation of a 1000m2 area along with a new bar and buffet equipment.
