Kawarau Falls Station, Queenstown
Insignis has been appointed as the Project Manager on 3 of the Buildings of the first stage of the $1 billion Kawarau Falls Station project. The Client Melview Developments vision is for a resort style development comprising 3 5 Star Luxury Hotels, 5 other hotel or hotel apartment buildings and 5 stand alone Owner occupied Apartment properties. Work is carried out in 3 stages and will be completed in 2011.
Post Office Precinct, Building 1
The Construction of the final Building in the Ngai Tahu Property Post Office Precinct development in the CBD of Queenstown commenced in August 2008. The project involves the construction of a 4600m2 building over 4 levels including an underground car park for 35 cars. The basement level is being constructed adjacent to and below an existing waterway involving significant temporary works. Completion is scheduled for October 2009.
The Rees, Queenstown, New Zealand
The construction of 112 two and three bedroom luxury apartments over 3 stages on a difficult site on the Lake Wakatipu foreshore. The project has involved a substantial civil engineering package to allow excavation to commence. The project consists of 9 separate strata titled buildings together with parking for 160 cars and associated Visitor accommodation facilities. Insignis acted as the Project manager on the project working closely with the Developer (who was also the Builder) and had particular responsibility for driving the programme for the project. The first 2 stages of the project will be completed in December 2008.
Queenstown Lakes District Council Offices, Queenstown
Insignis have been appointed to manage the design, consent and delivery of the proposed new Council Offices and Chambers. The project is designed to meet the needs of the Council for the next 25years and will provide 5- 6000m2 of space together with 100+ underground car parking spaces and extensive diversion and landscaping of an existing waterway on the site. Currently in the design stage construction is due to commence in 2009.
